I’m Jessica Steffy, and Growing Up Together is where I keep the small stuff before it slips away.
It started the year I realized I couldn’t quite remember what my daughter’s voice sounded like at two, and it scared me a little. So I started writing things down: the doorframe pencil marks, the sibling squabbles that end in laughing, the Tuesday nothing-happened dinners that I somehow still remember years later. This site is that habit, made public.
I’m not a parenting expert and I don’t have a system to sell you. I’m someone raising kids in an ordinary house, paying closer attention than I used to, and writing it down honestly, the good days and the hard ones both.
Everything here is written by a real person, from a real family. No ghost-written filler, no pretending our house is tidier or calmer than it is. If a piece is honest, it’s doing its job.
